We are definitely not traditional consultants, nor are we traditional private equity investors; we like to think of ourselves as co-entrepreneurs with our clients. We are a team of entrepreneurs, just like our clients, and we love to see a great business take flight. We select clients and they select us because we share a vision for their business over the long-term. Unlike traditional consultants, MACCUS is able to charge small and growing businesses fees that are far below market rates. Unlike private equity groups who throw money at a problem and try to take over your project, MACCUS throws sweat equity and expertise into your project and is a true long-term partner in your business. We recognize that as a small or growing business, you can’t afford to spend valuable capital on excessive consulting fees and you don’t want to give up control of your project to a group of ruthless investors. We want you to save that valuable capital and spend it on a successful Attack Plan that we devise with you and implement on Day 1. We bring our team of entrepreneurs and experts on board with our clients and share in the short-term risk and long-term reward. We’re entrepreneurs ourselves, so WE GET IT.

We know that one of the hardest parts of starting or growing a business is when you feel like you’re all alone “on an island” trying to figure out where to go, which steps to take to get there, and how to implement your plan. MACCUS brings its wealth of experience and expertise to complement you and your team in those critical areas. Many small and mid-size businesses fail simply because there are only so many hours in the day, and sometimes you just need some support, ideas, and shoulders to lean on to develop your business.

Put MACCUS to the Test

We create a low-risk way for you to test us and for us to test you. The partners you choose for an entrepreneurial project is one of the most important choices you will make as a small or mid-size business owner. We want you to fall in love with MACCUS, and we want to fall in love with you. To see if that happens, we set up a low-risk evaluation period. For a defined period of time (generally 1-3 months), we begin working together on your project. Our mindset is that we will prove ourselves to you, and you will be a delight to work with. When all goes well, we then establish predetermined long-term goals and incentives for a fruitful relationship.

During this test period, which we term “Early Implementation,” we are already implementing a tailor-made Plan of Attack. WE DO NOT DO MARKET STUDIES! Nothing is worse than paying a consultant to write a document for you that has beautiful pie charts but sits on your shelf because it became irrelevant the minute you started talking with real clients/customers. Our Plan of Attack simply continues after a successful Early Implementation phase, and as our working relationship develops, we move to “Full Implementation” during which your business expands and you enjoy the fruits of your productive and successful company.
