Prior to founding Maccus, David spent a decade in the public and private sectors on both sides of the Atlantic. Since settling in Europe in 2004, his work has focused on international expansion of businesses through strategic partnership, investment, innovation, and creative sales/marketing. Before focusing his work on transatlantic business development, David spent five years in public policy in the United States, initially lobbying state governments, and then as a policy advisor to a senior U.S. Senator. He maintains strong ties to public policy.
David has a degree in political science from Brigham Young University and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the London Business School. He is bilingual in English and French.
David lives in Paris with his wife and son and is active in church and community service.
Before becoming a partner in Maccus International, Mr. Erickson spent a year working with Jamaa Enterprises, located in the Democratic Republic of Congo. David worked with and directed the Congolese management team to build and expand three businesses; Construction, Transport, and Solar Energy, which employed 50 full-time and over 300 temporary workers. Previous to working with Jamaa Enterprises, Mr. Erickson was the Director of Product Development for a Technology firm in Orem, Utah. His life and work have taken him around the globe, he has lived in France and the U.S. and has worked in Africa and China.
Mr. Erickson has a Bachelors Degree from Brigham Young University and is a certified Project Management Professional. He is bilingual in English and French. He lives in Utah with his wife and daughters where he enjoys the outdoors and cooking French food.
